Data management

Only if Graphlytic edition contains create/update/delete functionality.

Administrator can create, update or delete data from Graphlytic, but this is possible only if you have Graphlytic edition with this functionality is delivered.

GUI form for creating and updating can be designed by administrator in Settings. See "nodeAttributeGroups" attribute at Data schema.

Create node

Possible at search page and visualization page.

Search page

  1. Left menu - Search

  2. Click on "+ Create node" button

  3. Enter data and confirm by pressing "Save" button.

Visualization

  1. Open or create some visualization

  2. Select node in visualization

  3. Top menu - use "Create node" icon

  4. Enter data and confirm by pressing "Save" button. Node is created in database and added into visualization.

Update node

Possible at search page and visualization page.

Search page

  1. Left menu - Search

  2. Enter search criteria to search nodes

  3. Click on "Update" icon for some node in search result.

  4. Enter data and confirm by pressing "Save" button.

Visualization

  1. Open or create some visualization

  2. Select node in visualization

  3. Right menu - Tab Detail - click "update" Icon (pencil icon)

  4. Enter data and confirm by pressing "Save" button.

Delete node

Possible at search page and visualization page.

Search page

  1. Left menu - Search

  2. Enter search criteria to search nodes

  3. Click on "Delete" icon for some node in search result. Confirmation window is shown.

Visualization

  1. Open or create some visualization

  2. Select node in visualization

  3. Top menu - use "Delete selected from database" icon. Confirmation window is shown

Create relationship

Possible at visualization page only.

Visualization

  1. Open or create some visualization

  2. Top menu - use "Create new edge" icon.

  3. Click on start node in visualization

  4. Click on the red circle on the top of node an hold mouse button. Drag cursor to end node and if you reach end node drop the mouse button. You can create several relationships with same data by holding mouse button down and moving from one end node to other.

  5. Enter data and confirm by pressing "Save" button.
